Did not have to work or to have an income because of the shares. (But it wasn't extremely much, but enough to not have to be stressed or to think about work for some years) Basically. Then, last summer, a well renowned Karolinska professor made a statements, that it would be revolutionary for vaccine development. Then, later, this autumn, a professor in Lund, used it to differentiate people with early stages of lung cancer from healthy subjects, and got the highest grant an individual researcher ever gotten from Cancerfonden. (Basically, if it holds up, and is established on the scale that for example pap smear is, then it could save the lives of millions continuously.) Then, they found out that they possibly could do the same thing with lung fibrosis (the stuff the Norwegian party woman has). Then a couple of weeks ago it ended up on TV4, nyhetsmorgon, och nyheterna, next to news about Iran and Ukraine. Then, this week, one of the largest pharmaceitical companies in the world decided to buy this and start making a big study on lung fibrosis (if I recall correctly). Then hopefully, there will a Lancet article. Basically, that whole company is 3 people and me working part time as a consultant for them. Me and my company started buying shares in them. Happened to convince my little brother, my uncle and their girlfriends to get shares. That was before most of those good news ended up coming out of nowhere. Anyway, objectively I assume there are more reasonable choices I could do. But personally, to me, stuff feel pretty fantastic. And I figured out I could have a disposable net income corresponding to the gross salary of a CEO of a midsized company without working full time. And then, a couple of months after that, some billionaire that was known for being able to look up very small companies that were really undervalued, started buying into it. So then, people got interested, and everything was worth 6-7 times as much. Close old friend (that I also do music with, can send later) got me into an extremely small company. We were the two employed main developers at the company. We developed a real time tumour tracking system mainly used to improve precision prostate cancer, to improve precision during radiotherapy. Normally patients would have to get treated 39 days with external beam radiotherapy for prostate cancer, at hospitals, spread out over 8 weeks. We managed to have hospitals use this to get down to 5 treatment days. And 1 hospital got it down to a single treatment that took about 15 minutes. Normally the patients would get real bad side effects, often for the rest of their lives, after the treatments. And nobody cared, because it was seen as better than death. This thing managed to get it down to close to no side effects.
